Sea-inspired design
Every element of theMarine Damemodel carries elements of nautical symbolism. The Roman numerals on the dial resemblenautical flags, the second hand ends with a stylized flag motif in the shape of the letter "B", characteristic of Breguet. The skeletonized ends of the hands, five-minute markers, and hour indices are coated withSuper-LumiNova luminescent layer, ensuring excellent readability even in darkness.
The 10 mm thick case captivates witha new treatment of side stripes, referencing the ribbing of ship decks while imparting a sporty character to the model. The wave-shaped crown guard is adorned with diamonds, and screws shaped like navigational markers serve not only aesthetically but also to secure the strap more firmly.
Materials and craftsmanship
Marine Dameis available in stainless steel or in 18kt rose and white gold. The bezel is adorned withbrilliant-cut diamonds, which gently contrast with the technical precision of the construction. In the gold variants, diamonds are also set into the automatic winding rotor – a detail appreciated by connoisseurs of Haute Horlogerie.
The dial is crafted either from glossy blue lacquer or mother-of-pearl, decorated with a unique“marea” (tide)pattern, whose rhythmic waves evoke the movement of the sea surface. Creating this pattern required several months of development and specially made tools. The engraving on the delicate mother-of-pearl surface is a testament to the mastery of Breguet's craftsmen.
Technical perfection
Inside the watch operates themanufacture caliber 591A, an automatic movement with a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), a power reserve of 38 hours, and a thickness of just 3.41 mm. The mechanism ensures reliability and precision while maintaining lightness and elegant proportions.
Through thesapphire case back, one can admire the movement's decorationCôtes de Genève, reminiscent of wooden ship decks, and the 18kt gold rotor with mother-of-pearl embellishment. The engraved inscription“Horloger de la Marine”recalls the title awarded to Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1815 by the French King Louis XVIII.
Style and comfort
